ATPL is going on ... I applied for 5 certificates during december. I got 4. Unfortunatly I missed Air Law by one point. Anyway I very happy and I really looking forward to begin my CPL.

ATPL stands for Airline Transport Pilot Licence. I'm going to Merville this incoming fall to get it during 24 months in the one of the biggest Flight Training Organisation which is IAAG-EPAG for my integrated training ... ATPL CPL/IR (on DA40/42) MCC.

This licence will lead me to a professional level of theorical/practical knowledge.

Wonderful World

Those past months I've flown at least 15 hours. Those flights were kinda amazing cause all of them were performed either while sunset or sunrise.Recently we made a partol flight with Julie, Cecilia, Guillaume and I. Here are some pictures.

First Licence ...

I've got my first pilot licence ... the PPL, which stands for Private Pilot Licence. This give me the right to fly a single engine piston (SEP) wherever I want around the world and to carry passengers in good weather condition (VMC).

The flight was LFGB - LFSH - LFGY - LFGB in my DR400-140B (F-GLVL)


The next step will be my CPL, Commercial Pilot Licence attached with the Instrument Rating.

Hot Tourist Spots

When you end up at San Francisco, you've some obligations which are, by example, walking thru "China Town" all the way down to "Lombard St", getting the fresh'n fish smell of the Bay at "Fisherman's Wharf" before jumping aboard to Alcatraz, spending your bucks on Market Street, then of course riding one of those "cable car" even if 5$ for a one way ticket may sounds like a rip off, but anyway you can't avoid it.

California State Capital

Richard has a cousin called Diane who's living at Elk Grove on the neighborhood of Sacramento. I went there and I spent the weekend with her. We visited the "California State Railroad Museum". She's far too kind !

L.A. Road Trip

Yesterday we drove across California by night.

We spent the night at Hollywood,

then we went to Disneyland (Orange County).


It was fun even though I drove 8 hours in 24 hours.

We drove 1h30 through the "Silicon Valley" to go there and see the Pacific coast. It was a little bit sad since the weather wasn't that good.

First "K" logged in my Log Book. This picture has been taken at 2000 ft over the famous Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco on contact with NORCAL Departure, "N4319Y there is an Airbus A340 Heavy in your ten o'clock, 500 ft above, 3 miles coming from the left to the right".
This Airbus was actually the Air France flight coming from Paris ;-)
